Patterns in Architecture is a course designed for students of 5th semester by Arch. Karthikeyan and Sangeetha Patrick
to understand and observe patterns from daily life and develop them through abstract and process oriented methodologies.
The workshop focussed on looking at something micro and extending into a macro level detail or a project itself
40 of our students participated in a live construction exercise to build 6 bamboo houses for a rural development project in Chengalpattu. The structure was designed by Mexican Architects intensly with Bamboo and other local materials.
The project was co-ordinated and conducted by CARE foundation, Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu.
Himanshu Patel is a renowned arch for his exclusive design methodologies and ideas. Students has an opportunity to intereact and work with him aT Sham Eco - Forest Resort, Gir Forest, Gujarat in a natural environment to learn more about vernacular architecture.
